Coastal New England

Grounds worth walking into.

Harbor Green Grounds designs and builds outdoor living spaces for coastal New England homes: stone, plantings, fire, and light, treated as one continuous room.

Five ways we shape a property

Landscape design and installation

Full property plans, from grading and drainage through planting, built by our own crews start to finish.

Outdoor living spaces

Patios, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens in natural stone, sized to how you actually use a backyard.

Plantings and gardens

Layered perennial borders and specimen trees chosen for coastal soil and salt air, not a catalog photo.

Lawn care programs

Seasonal fertility, aeration, and mowing programs that keep a new install looking finished year after year.

Property maintenance

Pruning, bed edging, and cleanups on a set schedule, so the grounds hold their shape between projects.

How a project unfolds

01

Design and site walk

We walk the property together, talk through how you actually live outside, and sketch the plan against your site's real grades and light.

02

Materials and layout

Stone, plantings, and structures get chosen and drawn to scale, so what you approve is what gets built.

03

Build and install

Our own crews handle grading, hardscape, and planting in sequence, with one project lead as your point of contact.

04

Season and settle

We return through the first season to adjust plantings and irrigation as the grounds establish themselves.

Sample client feedback, illustrative of the experience we aim to deliver

They treated our backyard like an actual design project. The fire pit patio gets used more than our living room now.

M. Sorensen

Homeowner

The planting plan held up through two dry summers. Nothing was an afterthought, down to the drainage.

R. Delacroix

Homeowner

One crew, one point of contact, from the first sketch to the last paver. That alone was worth it.

Serving the coast we call home

We take on a limited number of properties each season along the New England coast, so every project gets our full design and build attention.

  • Shoreline estates
  • Harbor villages
  • In-town gardens
  • Marsh-edge properties
  • Wooded lots
  • Village centers
  • Historic homes
  • Coastal back roads

Outside this list? Reach out. We take on select projects a bit further up the coast by request.
